The mayor of Chongqing municipality said all the officials who were involved in the recent sex video scandals have been punished and no other officials have been implicated so far.
All the officials involved were exposed by members of a criminal gang, Huang Qifan, mayor of Chongqing and a deputy to the National People's Congress, said in an interview with Nandu Daily on Monday.
The criminal group tried to bait dozens of officials since 2008 by tempting them with sexual favors, Huang told the newspaper.
"Most of the officials they tried to hook refused to fall for the trap, but about 11 did. Some officials lacked a moral dimension," Huang said.
The newspaper also said the officials are still under investigation for other possible violations.
A sex video, shot five years ago, showing a woman, who was allegedly hired by the criminal group, performing an intimate act with district Party chief, Lei Zhengfu, caused outrage in China.
Lei was dismissed as Party chief in November. In January, 10 other officials who were seen on other sex tapes were dismissed.
